Domain renewal sounds like a minor administrative task — until you forget one and your website and business email go dark.
When to Renew
Domains are typically registered for one year at a time (some can be registered for multiple years upfront). You can renew any time before expiry — there's no need to wait until the last minute, and renewing early simply adds another year to your current expiry date.
How to Renew
Log into your client area, find the domain under your services, and pay the renewal invoice via M-Pesa or your preferred method. It takes effect immediately.
Set Up Auto-Renewal
The simplest way to never think about this again is to enable auto-renewal on your domain, so it renews automatically each year against your saved payment method before it ever reaches expiry.
What If You Miss the Deadline?
Most registries provide a grace period after expiry during which you can still renew the domain before it's released for anyone else to register. Renewal after this grace period, if the domain enters a redemption phase, can involve significantly higher fees — so it's always cheaper and safer to renew on time.
